Do you remember Sabrina the Teenage Witch? Yep, that TV series from the 1990s: the show was revolving around Sabrina Spellman (played by Melissa Joan Hart), a teenager with magical powers, who lives with her aunts Hilda (Caroline Rhea) and Zelda (Beth Broderick), and their magical talking cat Salem (voiced by Nick Baka). Well, Sony is planning to bring Sabrina to the big screen. Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari have been already hired to write a script.Here's the opening of the TV show for those who don't remember:

For the film they intend to develop an origin story and transform the precocious witch into a kind of superhero. Is the cat Salem going to be her sidekick then? Well the cat Salem will indeed be part of the story, but not as a simple mischievous cat: from what I heard of their take, Salem would be a prince transformed into a cat!
Well I don't mind an edgier take especially if the cat Salem gets a bigger role! I bet he's going to steal the show to Sabrina.
Any idea would could play Sabrina? Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Miley Cyrus or a new actress?
